ABOUT ME
Hello, I am Marlo Garrison and I am currently a senior at the University of Pittsburgh completing my B.S. in Bioengineering. I am an outgoing and motivated engineer with strong communication skills who loves to solve current healthcare problems in a collaborative environment.

During my undergraduate years I was determined to gain experience and make an impact. I established a mentorship program through Biomedical Engineering Society to help students seek advice and network. I held internship positions in four areas: medical device diagnostics, synthetic biology academic research, personalized regenerative medicine, and genomics. My research and development, operational excellence, prototyping, and systems engineering roles gave me a strong background in process improvements and strategic thinking. I learned the fundamentals of design, wet-laboratory skills, strategic planning, continuous improvement, FDA regulation, manufacturing, and life cycle management. These experiences have provided me with a breadth of knowledge in both upstream and downstream operations that is key to the dynamic world of biotechnology. I am passionate about combining Lean Six Sigma tools with engineering and science to create stream-lined and bold solutions that maximize societal impact.

I am searching for a fast-paced biotechnology company where I can continue to collaborate on, improve, and drive medical innovations after graduation in April 2020. If you are interested in connecting, don’t hesitate to reach out!
